To the best we can do, we accepted the challenge of becoming partners of schools in Germany, Slovenia and the UK in a european project of lifelong learning. This project will allow us to gather and share knowledge within this context. The project Grundtvig as just begun in 2012 and will run untill 2014. We choose as target group people who have shown more vulnerability in terms of reading and writing and that are looking for help: men and women from countries that have Portuguese as official language.
Adult Literacy
Teaching adult literacy is to take an entire life story and background of a person into account and working individual characteristics in order to help the learner to discover the potential that can facilitate greater participation in the society which he/she lives. In addition to learning how to read and write, the literacy student needs to understand the world he/she is surrounded by and gain a critical perspective towards it. To accomplish this, it is indispensable to know how to work with information technology. Therefore, we will include this strand in our literacy classes.
